Learn to Manipulate and Enhance Your Photographs
I bought my first digital camera a few years ago. Shortly after that I added Photoshop to my computer. I wanted to add my own pictures to my Squidoo lenses, blogs and Facebook postings. Unfortunately the manual was big and my patience small. I tried, but ended up setting the manual aside. I could crop a picture and resize it. I even turned a few into black and white silhouettes, but that was the extent of my abilities.
Every time I saw a cool picture that had obviously been enhanced, I thought about my lack of expertise. I would pull the manual out and try again.
Frustrated but determined, I picked up the book Digital Expressions by Susan Tuttle. What a difference it made! I'm not an expert, probably never will be, but I'm having fun with my pictures.
With a little time and effort, a simple picture can become a work of art. If you want to learn how to enhance and manipulate your photographs, Susan Tuttle's book Digital Expressions is an excellent starting point.

- I have used a little program called "Picture It" for years and have been debating about getting Photo Shop. I will definitely check out this book, too. I love your Sunflowers and butterflies. It looks 3 D. Thanks for sharing this wonderful information. BTW, I didn't know that you were an artist. Love your Iris.
