Boss Micro Br Digital multitrack Recorders- A great tool for singing teachers

If you are singing teacher and you do not use a recording tool for your students, you are missing the boat.

I have been a singinging teacher for close to 5 years and the one tool that I have used
In all this time is a digital multitrack recorder called the boss micro br.
It is the smallest 8 track recording studio in the world and I can tell you the quality is amazing.

Although this digital multitrack recorder is designed for guitar usage, I specifically use it as a correction tool and as a means to log my students work so as they can hear their own progress.

Let me explain in detail how I use it as a correction tool.

In my experience as a singing teacher, there are times when I would be explaining to a student that
they either sound too breathy or that they are out of tune, or that they have no feeling ect, and it would be clear to me that they do not really understand. At that point I would record them singing so that they can actually hear what I have said, because a lot of times what the singer thinks they are hearing while they themselves are singing is completely different when they hear themselves on a recording.

The great thing about the microbr digital multitrack recorder is that it has 8 tracks that can be used, either to record before and after tracks or to work out basic harmonies if you are teaching a group. If you want
to go advanced, it also has 64 virtual tracks that add an added value to the smallest digital multrack recorder in the world.

I realize there are not many singing teachers who use such a tool and my question would be, why not?
It is imperative that a student hears exactly what they are doing in order to improve, instead of taking what their teacher says as gospel.

With that said if you take my advice and want an excellent piece of equipment to try, the micro br digital multitrack recorder is a must.

Here are the specs for the Micro br digital multi track recorder
