Digital Photography Basics - Behind the Scenes

Are the pictures you take just okay? What you need is to learn some Digital Photography Basics. What would you say if I told you three easy tricks that would greatly improve your photographs?

I do not profess to be a professional photographer, but I have read some books and taken a couple of classes to improve my photography. During my studies, I found some digital photography basics that will help anyone to Take Better Pictures.

Below are three of my favorite ideas that you can start using today:

Digital Photography Basics - Fill Flash

Flashing - it's not just good at night!

Have you ever taken a picture of a person on a bright day and since the sun is at their back, their face is very dark? Well, I have had that problem many times.

There are a few of ways to fix this problem:

One, you could just move the subject around so that the sun is in their face instead of behind them. This does work with people, but not with immovable objects.

Two, wait until a different time of day, until the sun is at a different location. Again, this does have problems. What if you are with a tour group and you only have 15 minutes at this stop?

Finally and the first of the digital photography basics is to use your flash. Most cameras will allow you to turn on the flash even when it thinks you don't need it. What this will do is to "light" up your subject. On many point an shoot cameras, there is a setting that tells the camera the subject is "backlit" (that there is bright light behind them). If you move the dial on your camera, it will adjust itself to take care of this problem.

If your camera will allow it, you may have to work with the flash "power" so that your subject is not washed out or too dark.

Digital Photography Basics - A Guide with a 100% Guarantee

Can I be honest with you? You can search for photography tricks on the internet and find a lot of good information, but I have found that it is still lacking. If you truly want to take pictures like a pro, you either need to take a class or purchase some books. Don't get me wrong, you can improve your photos greatly with techniques found on the internet, but they will leave you short.

To really learn digital photography, I highly recommend this wonderful guide that will have you producing professional results in no time, even if you know nothing about photography or have never used a digital camera. It is the total package and a lot cheaper than taking classes. You also have the guide to refer back to in the future.

It also comes with a 100% money back guarantee and includes valuable bonuses!

Digital Photography Basics - Color, the Most Vivid Lesson

Color in a picture can be very powerful. It can be emotionally intoxicating. What do you think when you see a brilliant sunset of reds and purples? What about an azure sky with the American flag in front of it? It's amazing at conjuring up all kinds of emotions.

Just like a room painted in a certain color, a picture can create a mood. When you step into a room that is painted deep red, how do you feel? Is it a good feeling? When people look at pictures, they can get that same feeling from it's dominant colors.

Another one of the great digital photography basics is lack of color. Black and white photographs can evoke many emotions about times gone by. Sepia tones can also create feelings of age.

The next time you take a picture, think about the colors that will make it up.

Digital Photography Basics - Using Light and Shadows

In most of the pictures I use to take, the light was constant. It was the same throughout the entire frame. In order to create a feeling in a picture or to grab the attention of the viewer you can use light and shadows.

If you want the viewer to "notice" an object or person in the frame, bath them in light and have shadows throughout the rest of the frame.

Or what if you want to "hide" something in the photograph, so that the viewer has to really study it to find the "missing" or additional item? That object could be hiding in the shadows.

I hope you use all of these digital photography basics to improve your photography, for links to more of them, continue scrolling down.
