Your Very First Digital Scrapbook Layout

Crossing over from the paper Scrapbooking World

For all the paper scrapbookers out there who are contemplating trying out Digital Scrapbooking, I've made a new Scrapbooking Edge Video Tutorial to show you how to make your first digital layout.

I figured that if you're already making cool paper layouts, you'll want your first digital layout to look pretty cool too. Not like a 'beginners' layout. But you'll want to just deal with the simple basic techniques that you need to create it.

And don't forget, you get all the digital elements to make your first layout included with the tutorial.

Photoshop Elements 6 - The Missing Manual

by Barbara Brundage

Photoshop Elements is my software of choice when it comes to digital scrapbooking.

And when I came across this book it was a marriage made in Heaven.

Read my Review of Photoshop Elements 6 - The Missing Manual and you'll see for yourself why I am so impressed.

It's an essential weapon in every Photoshop Elements user's arsenal.

Getting Started in Digital Scrapbooking without the Learning Curve

Scrapbook Max Review

Many traditional scrapbookers are interested in trying Digital Scrapbooking. But the thought of learning all the tricks and functions of a graphics editing software package such as Photoshop or Paintshop Pro puts them off. Busy people with busy lives and no time or desire to fiddle around with a new piece of software in their lives.

Well a few weeks ago I reviewed a product called Scrapbook Max. And I think this might just be the answer that you folk are looking for.

Apart from being significantly less expensive that any of the 'big guy' graphic programs, Scrapbook Max is specifically designed for scrapbookers and is so easy to use you'll be printing out your first digital scrapbook layout within minutes of opening the program.

Now I'm a devoted Photoshop Elements girls and when I did my review (click here to read my full review) I wasn't expecting to be particularly excited by the product. But I have to say, I was seriously impressed.

Although I would not leave my beloved PSE, I think if I had started digital scrapbooking with Scrapbook Max 3 years ago, I would probably still be using it today.
