TV Series: Yay or Nay?

What do you say?

With the success of so many long-running animated series currently broadcast on the tube (The Simpsons, King of the Hill, South Park), we're left to wonder why Dilbert wasn't able to achieve the same level. After all, the comic strip has been a success for quite a while now. What do you think?

The Office

Starring Steve Carrell

Another TV series centered around an office environment is the show The Office. Much like Dilbert, it depicts the daily goings on of the office workers, how they deal with an incompetent boss and some of the things they resort to in order to get ahead in the corporate rat race.

Dilbert vs The Office

Showdown of Shows

Get out your office staplers because there's going to be a showdown at the TV office coral. That's right. We're pitting Pointy-Haired Boss against Michael, Dilbert vs Jim, Dwight vs Wally and Alice vs Pam. Who will come out on top once the staples run out?

More intellectual, original idea.

The Office

Tolovaj says:

I do not know Dilbert, but The Office is hillarious. Of coarsethere is a big difference between Engilsh version created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant and American version. I saw both and English version seems better at first. But if somebody have seen Steve Carell first, he would think opposite because he is great actor too. My point should be: some series made better impression just because you discovered them first.

reasonablerobinson says:

ouch what a dilemma - well the original UK version of The Office shades it for me and I love Dilbert

King of All Comic Strips

Comic Page Stage-Off

Let's pretend, for some unthinkable reason, your local newspaper was only allowed to carry one comic strip, no exceptions. They would be faced with the dilemma of which one to publish. That is where you would help them decide. Which comic strips would you vote off the comic page stage and which one do you think would win in this survival of the funniest? Feel free to add your own choices and give the boot to the ones you don't like. Who will be crowned, King of All Comic Strips?
