Gram's Best Dill Pickle Recipe

Simply the best and oh so simple!  Making dill pickles is fun!

The Best Dill Pickle Recipe Ever! 

When I was growing up, we had dinner at Gram's house every Sunday. Without fail, there would be homemade dill pickles to accompany dinner. I vowed that I would carry on the tradition, but put it off for a long time because I thought it would be difficult. Well it isn't! And not only is this the best dill pickle recipe around, it's also the easiest!
I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Gram's Dill Pickle Recipe 

Select small cucumbers that are 4-5 inches long.

Buy enough to fill 5 Quart size jars.

For 5 jars you will need:

2 cups vinegar
1/2 cup pickling salt
10 cups water
Fresh Dill
Garlic Buds

Prick cucumbers at the ends with a fork and soak overnight in cold water.
Drain and dry thoroughly.
Scald jars and put a bunch of dill in the bottom.
Pack cucumbers in tightly.
Add a garlic bulb or more depending on personal preference.
Put more dill on top.
Bring vinegar, salt and water to a boil.
Pour over cucumbers while hot.
Seal immediately.
Let stand in a cool place for 6 weeks before using.
Enjoy!
