What is Dim Sum?

Dim Sum is a traditional breakfast/brunch meal in Hong Kong and in parts of China.

Typically the food goes by on carts, sometimes by women calling out what type of food they have, if you want that particular item just flag her down to order.

Dim Sum translates literally as 'touch the heart' in Cantonese, but really Dim Sum could be described as a morsel or snack.

Made with Beef, Shrimp, or Barbecued Pork
Steamed Sticky Rice with Chicken in Lotus Leaf
Haw heung tsun chu gai
Steamed Pork Rib
Pai gwat
Steamed barbecue pork buns
Char siu bau

These are very popular, also available as a baked bbq pork bun or a steamed chicken bun
