Dinosaurs Live Show
What it is and what it is not
This is not a fake or computer generated animation. Walking With Dinosaurs Live is a real theatrical show that follows an exciting storyline and features Huxley the dinosaur expert and his 15 untamed ferocious dinosaurs. The dinosaurs are life-size and represent 10 species from the reign of the dinosaurs. Dinosaurs first evolved 230 million years ago and were the dominant animals for 165 million years before becoming extinct 65 million years ago.
The life-size dinosaur models are moved by puppeteers using a very sophisticated hydro-dynamic system.

Walking With Dinosaurs Australia
The Magnificent Live Show - How it all started
The "crazy" idea of bringing the BBC show on to the live stage belongs to Australian entrepreneur Bruce Mactaggart. William May backed his ideas and introduced the visual concept of the whole thing. The show was directed by a Broadway expert Scott Faris.
The Live show was first staged in Sydney, Australia on January 10, 2007. An estimated 100,000 spectators visited the Sydney shows. Afterwards the show moved to Brisbane.
An estimated 1,500,000 people have already seen the show worldwide!

Feedback from USA and Australian Shows
What do others have to say about Walking With Dinosaurs live show?
Suzie from USA: The event was amazing. The dinosaurs were so lifelike with their attention to detail, fascinating robotics and incredible use of puppetry.
Jennifer from USA: I was at this show last year with my kids. They loved it. Since then they are big dinosaur fans. I can recommend it to every parent.
Pete from USA: Been to this; was incredible! But the funny thing was that my 8 and 11 year old were more focussed on watching the dinosaurs on the big screens around the auditorium than actually looking at them. Great night out!
