Dioramas
The building of dioramas is a great way to expand the hobby of collecting diecast models including cars, airplanes and military vehicles. Those are my favorites however a diorama may be about most anything you collect from dolls to miniture furniture. I have seen a wide variety of dioramas in museums and collector shows. A modeler today has a fantastic choice of kits and supplies from the many manufactures of these items. A good choice of supplies are companys making scenery and buildings for model train layouts or you may elect to build from scratch with the help of one of the many manuals available online and bits and pieces you have lying around. I am starting a diorama of my own centered around Indy race cars as I have the time.

- This really is a talent having the patience, steady hand and artist eye to create and paint these dioramas realistically. You will have to keep a journal and photo record of your progress when creating your own and create a lens about.

- Building dioramas is such a great creative endeavor and a great research endeavor to assure everything is period if going for historical accuracy.
