It is imperative that anyone who aspires to reach the pick of his vision or ambition in life must learn to be him/herself. There are a lot of people who carry on life by imitations, yet sadly, such people never go far. They in fact end up losing by trying to win others approval, since at some point they get caught up in themselves.

What sells is your uniqueness; your brand. Do you have a new brand? Something that hasn't been copied, an idea birthed by you, and you alone? This is what sells and it does not bring any loses or court cases, or stress. Put it out there. Sell it. People will look for it everywhere. Such ideas last long even after you are gone. Brands such as Coca-cola, Google, Kiwi, Colgate etc, have been here for ages and no matter how many companies come up with the same kind of products, these brands still sell above others.
Why don't you ask yourself, what makes me unique? and instead of imitating someone else, build on that, sell it and make it a brand and see what will happen. Everyone will be looking for your product. As someone said, "Imitation is limitation".
