Step-By-Step

When you signup for your new Direct Matches Account, that is just the beginning.

Now you need to actually set-up your Profile Page.

First, Scroll down on the left side of your Profile Details Page and click on "add a community". You can eventually set-up several communities, but First....select.... "Business Network".

Submit.

Now.... you are taken to a page with lots of boxes.
Check off all that could possible apply to you. These are keywords, that will help people find you.

Now put in a Website URL to something you would like to market or promote with your new site.

Put your phone number in and a skype username, if you have one. I highly recommend you download skype if you don't already have one. It is Free. Go to Skype.com and download the free software.
This is an excellent communication device for building your Team.

Now you need a short, catchy saying. Something inspiring or something about your venture.

You are almost done, but not quite. Next is a box to write your narrative....Your About You Section.

At the bottom of this section is a number 2000. That little box has to say 1800 or less for you to save and keep this profile. You can add to this later.

As you write this Narrative, keep in mind what Social Networking or Relationship Marketing is all about. Making Friends. Building Relationships. It isn't about sell, sell, sell.

Let people get to know who you are. People like to do business with people they know, like, and trust. Don't be obscure. Let them know your name and where you are from. Are you married? What are your hobbies and interests? Anything someone could identify with and find a common interest.

This is not the section to sell your business opportunity or products. This is the section to "Brand Yourself".

Now hit submit. You now have a Profile page. But you aren't finished yet.

Go to the top of the page....click on "MyProfile".

One of the MOST IMPORTANT things you need to add to your Profile Page is your Photo.

People like to see who they are working with. Also very few will even look at your profile page if you don't have a photo. This is so KEY.

Now you are Done. Almost.... :)

Actually there is much more you can do, just take it a step at a time. Let your sponsor help you or your sponsor's sponsor. Most of the people you find on Direct Matches are more than willing to help you. Don't be afraid to ask.

You can now click on Theme and add wallpaper, backgrounds, colors schemes, change the fonts and font colors. This is what makes your profile page stand out from all the others and makes it attractive.

Your Profile is looking good now. You have a smoking site. Now make it work for you.

Add your classifieds, blogs, graphics, banners, audio, and videos.

The News Section is probably your most versitile section as you can use HTML in it.

Now go to the Forum and introduce yourself. You can leave a link in your signature line.

Now you are all dressed up, but what do you do now???

You need traffic, you need people looking at your profile. How do you do that???

Direct Matches is a huge community of business/entrepreneurs. People that are like-minded. They have a variety of needs and interest.
They will be contacting you asking you to approve them as a contact.

Approve them all. These are so valuable to you. This is your traffic. This is your market. This is your List.

Now you may be a little overwhelmed with all the emails at first as some people just don't understand that this is a relationship buildng business and they will just try to bombard you with advertising. Join my business, buy my product, etc.

That is like asking someone to Marry you and you haven't even been introduced.

When they send you these blatant ads, just thank them for the information and let them know your plate is full.
