My Town - Killeen, Texas
Killeen is a city in Bell County, Texas, United States. The population was 112,434 at the 2000 census. It is a "principal city" of the Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Killeen is directly adjacent to the main cantonment of Fort Hood, and as such its economy is heavily dependent on the post and the soldiers (and their families) stationed there.
The Killeen - Temple - Belton area of central Texas is one of the fastest growing areas in the nation. It has a wonderful climate (although more than a bit hot in the summer)!! We have lakes, plenty of outdoor activity and just miles from the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Who should we root for
In Texas, football if you are not aware, is more important than just about anything else!
In the Killeen, Temple and Belton area we are about equal distance from 3 very good schools. Those are Baylor University in Waco, University of Texas about an hour away in Austin and Texas A&M University about and hour and 1/2 the other way in College Station.
So we are stuck in the dilemma of who to root for on a given Saturday. So for the sake of equality I will put information up for all 3 schools so I don't offend any of my friends that have gone to each of the schools.
Life is hard trying to keep everyone happy!!!
