The search engines now, highly favor, websites that have a large number of quality, one way links pointing to them. Because of this, it's absolutely critical that we consistently try to get other websites to link to us, WITHOUT us linking back to them. One such tool is directory submitter.

SEO is getting more advanced and more difficult day by day. The major search engines are evolving their techniques at an incredible speed, making it harder for us SEO's to rank our websites highly and make a living.

In saying this, there are a few tried, true and tested principles that we need to do when optimizing our website for the search engines. The first of which, and the one that I always tell people to concentrate on is getting quality, 1 way links pointing to your website.

So how do you do that, read on...

The more quality links you can get pointing to your website, the higher you will rank, period.

While there are many black hat seo tricks and tactics that you can do for short term gain, and which are devastating to you when discovered, I would suggest NOT spending your time on those types of tactics. I would however focus all my effort on figuring out how to get other websites to link to yours without you linking back to them. That is the biggest key to ranking well in Google, Yahoo, and of course MSN which i have found to be the hardest of all.

Doing this is easier said that done. One of the easiest known ways to get quality, one way links is by finding web directories and then undertaking the tedious task of submitting your website to them all.

This can be a very tedious process and take hours of your time, but always a very rewarding process at the same time especially for long term seo.

You can either submit your website to these directories manually if you can ind them, pay someone to do it for you if they know what they are doing, OR you can use one of the many website directory submission programs out there. The best program for the money that I've found is a program called "Directory Submitter" created my internet marketing expert, Brad Callen. And this guy really knows his stuff.

This program allows you to submit your website to over 1600 directories and can save you alot of time in doing so. Just enter your website details into the software once, and then select the directory you would like to submit to. The software will then, automatically fill in all of the submission criteria for each directory and allow you to quickly submit your site.

Not only does this save you time in submitting your site, but it saves you an incredible amount of time in just finding the free directories.

Enough said check it out Directory Submitter

I have to agree with what AndrewGreen says in his comments. Auto submit programs are a waste if time as far as i am concerned. I much prefer to do it myself, that way i know i am submitting to good directories because i will have done my himework on them.

Most directory owners would prefer you not to use the recip. link. I donot use any of these so called Auto submit programs. First of all, i like to check out the directory that i am submitting to. A lot of people these days are buying a cheap PR3 or more and then changing it to a directory. So you think you are submitting to a good PR site when in fact it is false. And it does eventualy lose it. My main point is " check out the age of the directory " especialy if you are paying to submit. Myself, i don't think PR counts for much unless the site is over a year old.
