Set yourself apart with your own Direct Sales Website

If you are active in business doing direct sales, you know you have competition, even within your own company.

Having a website that is independent of your company sponsored website will set you apart and establish YOU as the expert. See some of the great options listed here for the best ways to create a wonderful web presence.

Below are a few of the options I've tried and can recommend for those of you would would like to get started right away.

Are you ready to advertise that new website?

Direct Sales Advertising

Internet Based Family

Put up a gorgeous professional website in minutes with their easy website builder

Want to do it yourself with but don't want to mess with learning html, paying to have someone design a header or any of that?

Then the Internet Based Family easy website builder might be the way to go for you.

The nice thing about IBF is that it's the website builder and hosting all in one. So although it seems more expensive, what you are paying for is the tremendous ease of use and extra benefits it provides.

I have my DirectSellersUniversity.com website built there and it's beautiful and very easy for me to update from any computer at any time. Another great pro for this online system.

This is definitely the way I'd suggest you go if you're just exploring building your first web presence website and want to get it done quickly and easily at a fair price.

Visit DirectSalesWebsites.com for a free 10 day trial of their website builder. You'll love it!

The Design Dashboard

Step by step instructions for a quick 2-5 page website

The Design Dashboard is a relatively new program to me and I've been playing with it now for a couple weeks.

But from what I've seen so far it's really top notch and so incredibly user friendly I can highly recommend it to anyone just starting out the process of building a website.

You literally just follow a set of steps - each one with a detailed tutorial and most with a video that walks you through even further. It's amazing.

This is a great option for someone who doesn't want to pay for the higher hosting fee with IBF but still wants a fairly easy and quick system to get a site up and going. See below for hosting options that I recommend.

Visit Design Dashboard to read more about it.

XSite Pro

Taking it to the next level

When I first started playing around with building websites many of my online friends were using XSitePro and I loved the look of their sites and also loved what they were saying about how easy it was/is.

And it really is. I built my site FunEvents4Girls.com with it to help promote my direct sales business. It was easy to use but you do need to have some html knowledge which really isn't required in the IBF website builder at all.

It's not a cheap program either, although it's a lot cheaper than hiring a web designer to build a professional site for you and it's a great time saver so in that respect, because time is money, it's a good value.

Options for hosting your own website

Your website needs a "plot" of land on the net

It's not enough just to build a website, you have to actually find an address (a domain name - see above) and then host it somewhere - which is the plot of "land" on the internet where your website is hosted. Here are some options for that
Mom Webs hosting
Two of my best online friends in the world run this great hosting company and I can tell you that their service is TOP NOTCH!
Internet Based Family
If you use the IBF family website builder you'll get hosting included in your monthly fee. Sign up for several months at a time to get a great discount and not have to worry about losing your site.

Get your own domain name!

Even if all you have is your direct sales company sponsored website, you should get a specific domain name to make it easy for people to find you. Even if you just get yourname.com, it'll make it easy for your customers, potential recruits and more to track you down.

My favorite domain company is at DirectSalesDomains.com

Some Free website options

Not ready to get a full blown website and domain? Try these free options to get your feet wet!

Squidoo - my favorite free promotion tool
Well, if you couldn't tell, I'm addicted to Squidoo. And there's a good reason why! It's fun, it's easy, it's fun and it's easy! :-)

Oh yeah...and it's FREE!
Blogger
Starting a blog is another great way to establish a solid web presence at no cost. If you're looking for the full "how to" on blogging you should check out this ecourse at DirectSalesBlogging.com
Tumblr.com
This is another very easy to use blog builder that's incredibly quick, easy and professional looking. The only down side that I could see with Tumblr is that you can't take reader comments. But everything else looks great!
