Portable Book Reader

ADAPT-A-LAP Portable Bookholder

The Adapt-a-Lap is a portable book holder lap desk . It is of value to everyone, even the elderly and people with arthritis, stroke, carpel etc. Whether reclining in your favorite chair, lying in bed snuggled up with your favorite book, at a desk or sitting at a table, the Adapt-a-Lap relieves the stress of arched arms, shoulders, and necks as well as fatigued hands. The Adapt-a-Lap's extendable leg allows for the exact height and angle best for you.

"I got my Adapt-a-lap about 10 days back. I love various uses I can put it to - reading books lying/sitting on bed, on floor, holding my laptop etc. Adapt-a-lap seems to be very handy and comfortable piece of equipment that doesnt strain your body posture and adds extra hours of comfort."

"I'm usually prepared to be somewhat disappointed with items purchased sight-unseen, but I am completely satisfied with this product. I have degenerating disks in my neck, and was looking for a bookstand that I could use while nestled in an upholstered chair without a table in front. Not only does this accomplish what I need perfectly, it is also compact, lightweight, and very quick and easy to set up and collapse. The pole stays exactly where you place it. I need to read without lowering my head at all, so I put a pillow on my lap and this raises the book to eye level with my neck straight. I haven't seen anything else that can do this. Highly recommended."

"It also allows you to use your portable computer without the need to have a desk or table (or knees) to support it on. It's small enough to fit in most computer bags so it is easy to take your office anywhere. From the heaviest hardbacks to your portable computer, the Adapt-a-Lap holds them all."

Bath & Shower Handle

Safe-er- Grip Bath & Shower Handle, 17-Inches

Get a handle on bathroom safety with this bathtub and shower handle. The 16.5" Safe-er-Grip Balance Assist Bar for tub and shower from MHI allows you to enter a wet and slippery tub or shower safely and with confidence. The Safe-er-Grip assists your balance while entering or exiting the tub or shower - full body weight is not to be applied to product. This easy to install grip gives both parent and child steady confidence in and around the tub.

"We ordered the Safe-er-Grip by MHI Mommy's Helper from Amazon. We bought the 17" model. Initial impressions are that it is basically exactly what we wanted. It is substantial with some heft to it. The feel of the handle is excellent and gives a great grip. We have 4" tiles and it works both vertically and horizontally. Based on another review in here we had thought that we would have to mount it on a slant but that turned out not to be the case. Also we tried the Amazon Prime shipping and that worked exactly as advertised and in 2 days it was here as promised.

We cleaned the tiles and stuck it on and presto bingo it is very solid. Naturally you wouldn't want to use it to support your weight except in an emergency fall but it would.

Very impressed both with the price from Amazon and the product itself. We had tried a cheaper advertised on tv grip that we bought from Bed Bath and Beyond for about $13 but that did not work on 4" tiles and was not the product we wanted. We also purchased from Amazon the 24" Health Circle Quick Rail and it also is an excellent product. The 24" Quick Rail had to be mounted on a slant on 4" tiles although the advertising claimed it was engineered for 4,6 and 8" tiles. Actually at 24" and on a slant it also is a wonderful safety product and is also of high quality. Very happy with both products purchased through Amazon."
