Some of your followers will like it and they will re-tweet it so it will get visible for even more eyeballs. It is definitely good for your popularity.

2. Financial-based offer - This kind of content will not get viral because it s not giving value. This is disadvantage for marketers. Educating or entertaining content has great chance to become viral and you can also put link to your sells letter in there, so it is one shot but two kills.
3. Negative "buzz" - This is something you have to count with. Look at really famous singers. They are successful but do you think everyone likes their songs? Of course not! There are also people spreading negative buzz about their songs. Try to type name of your favorite song into YouTube and look at the comments. You will see for yourself. You cannot expect everyone to like your product.
4. Spamming - There is spamming in the digital as well as in the material world. When someone gets the same message every three days, because every three days some of their friends got the message about some great product, well it is kind a Spam. There is better example when it comes to e-mails.
5. Loose of control - This is advantage and disadvantage in one place. When you loose control of your negative kind of content you will be known as a negative writer by many people.
However, when you loose control of your content and that content is bringing you great results there is nothing better what could happen to marketer. Power of viral marketing grows exponentially.
