Most Lives are saved in the First24 Hours
History shows that whenever disaster strikes, most of the lives saved are saved in the first24hours and the first 24 hours is very crucial in any disaster.
The foundation's research shows that 80 per cent of people are saved by those already on the disaster sites, not by specialist emergency teams, yet 97 per cent of the world do not know what to do after a disaster.

The First 24 Hours Foundation
The First 24 Hrs Foundation had it inception in 1992 by Emergency Services and Public Safety Personnel to provide funding and support when responding to the ever increasing numbers of man made and natural disasters around the world. The First 24 Hrs Foundation is a registered Charity, a Not for Profit Non Government Organisation (NGO).The unique and diverse physical and geographical nature of the Australian continent and its proximity to immediate geographical surrounds means it is regularly the subject of a variety of natural disasters, including floods, bushfires, cyclones, tidal surges, and earthquakes. The world is increasingly the subject of man made and natural disasters. The Foundation realizes that these threats require the ability to not only respond to disasters world wide when they occur (disaster and refugee relief, emergency / crisis mitigation), but to also educate the world in both the public and private sector about the sources of risk, and to prepare themselves, their families, and their immediate environment, in the event of a threat of or actual disaster or crisis.

Disaster Preparedness
Self Help is the best help!
When disaster strikes, self help is the best help. You and your family should have a plan in place and each member should know what he/she is supposed to do in case of a disaster.
So if your family has a safety plan in place then there is no last minute confusion and YOU WILL DO MUCH BETTER with a plan in place.

Activate your Plan
Activating your 303 plan is very easy. Spend $5 a month and activate your plan. The 303 Plan is really simple, spend 30 minutes every 3 months with your family around the dinner table or even from remote. Refreshing your Family Safety Plan will increase your survival rate when a disaster does happen especially if you are a family with children, it keeps it fresh in their minds so they do not have to think about what to do during an emergency, they will know. This is like the safety demonstration in an Aircraft every time you fly. It is as simple as that.
