Fragrance Notes - The Anatomy of Perfume
Perfume is described as being comprised of three sets of notes that create the final scent. The notes develop over time, with the immediate scent coming from the top notes followed a little later by the middle notes. Finally, at the final stage, the base notes gradually unfold. These notes are carefully developed and layered taking into account the fading process of each prior note.
