What Are Discus Fish?

The disc shaped body of this fish is it's most widely recognized feature. Many colors have been developed from the original wild Amazonian specimens. People who keep discus in their aquarium often find the best foods to be frozen and live. Water should be kept mildly acidic but they have no tolerance for ammonia.
