Dish Network and High Speed Internet Services

Bookmark and Share

Face it, most of us value convenience. Having your television service and your internet service bundled offers the convenience of receiving a single bill.

For a number of years, cable providers had the advantage of offering bundled television services and internet access.

However, satellite TV is now able to provide customers with the same convenience of bundled services, such as Dish Network internet.

Use the expandable Table of Contents below to help you find things quickly on this page.

And when you're done, you can sign up for Dish Network right here.

Dish Network Satellite Broadband Internet Services

Now you can bundle your satellite TV and high speed internet services

In 2007, Dish Network Satellite TV introduced their partnership with Wild Blue giving customers Dish Network internet access for the first time. The partnership gives high speed internet access to many of those individuals who don't have access to cable internet or DSL as an option versus the somewhat antiquated and lethargic dial up services.

The Options

Satellite TV customers now have 3 options for their high speed internet services.

At the economical end of Dish Network internet services is the Silver Package which gives users 512kbps/128Kbps download/upload speeds, 5 e-mail addresses, 10MB web hosting space, spam and virus filtering, 24/7 tech support, and free installation. Anti-virus and anti-spyware protection is offered free for 18 months. After an equipment lease fee of $199, the month fee is $49.95.

The gold package from Dish Network internet services increases download/upload speeds to 1.0 Mbps/200kbps for $69.95 while the Platinum package boosts users to 10 e-mail addresses, 20MB web hosting space, and download/upload speeds to 1.5Mbps/256Kbps for $79.95.

Dish Network and Clearwire Wireless Internet Services

Satellite TV provider Dish Network also offers wireless high speed internet connectivity via Clearwire in some areas of the country.

This Dish Network internet service provides users access to speeds up to 2.0Mbps anywhere within the Clearwire coverage area. Because Clearwire owns broadcast spectrum they're able to provide secure connections with fewer limits on mobility than that experienced with WiFi. Clearwire provides users with plug-in wireless modems to place in electrical outlets to establish a connection. This simple process requires no installer.
