Where to find Disneys Aladdin Costumes!
Do you want to buy or put together an Aladdin costume for Halloween? Then check out this list of all the bits and pieces you'll need to play the cheeky and daring street rat who became a prince in Disney's classic film.
But do you know which costume you want to dress up in? Aladdin has two main costumes - his street rat outfit, and his noble prince regalia! You can buy a commercial adult Prince Ali costume, but you'll have to put the street rat version together yourself, or buy a hand made outfit. Just don't forget the Genie Lamp

The 'Street Rat' Costume
Aladdin's most recognisable costume is his city outfit
- He wears whitish or yellowish salwar (or chalwar) pants (you can also look for harem or afghan pants). There is supposed to be large square yellow patch (a.k.a a 'hobo patch') on his pants, just below the right knee.
- A little purple waistcoat or vest.
- A dark yellow or red belt of cloth (you can easily use a cummerbund) wrapped around his waist
- A red fez
If you get cold easily or don't dare walk around bare chested and sexy looking, you can add a pale yellow or white shirt underneath.
There is no official version of this costume for sale, so you'll have to make it by hand, commission it or put it together from bits and pieces.

Aladdin is always dark skinned and has a lamp and a monkey with him!

From cheap props to lovely keepsakes
Quite apart from being an essential part of the Aladdin story, you could also add some fantastic Arabian atmosphere to your costume party with a working genie-style lamp adding light or incense!
Or just pick up a cheap inflatable or plastic prop to carry around.

Buy A Black Wig!
If your hair isn't quite right, you can pick up a cheap wig!
Aladdin's hair is thick, shaggy and relatively straight. These are some of the closest wig matches.
And it never hurts to check eBay for some better quality wigs
Darken Your Skin
Aladdin has bronze or dark brown skin
If you already have dark skin, you're fine. But if you're pale and pasty, you can either go for the tanning lotion (which won't flake off, but you'll be living with it for a while) or the face and body paint (which won't look as natural and may come off while you're in costume, but you can be rid of it the next day!)

Mischevious little Abu is always nearby or sitting on Aladdin's shoulder!

Abu wears a small red fez and waistcoat, in the same style as Aladdin's street rat costume, and there is a nice choice of monkey costumes for infants available.

- I love the Alladin character costumes but it is the Alladin genie lamps which really caught my eye. I think that I definitely have to get one of those. Delightful.
