Disney Dog Costumes for Halloween

There are many wonderful Disney characters to choose from for your dog's Halloween costume. Whether you have a tiny Chihuahua or a Great Dane, there's a good character for your pooch. Since there are so many options, it's a good theme if you have more than one dog dressing up. It also works great if you want your dog's outfit to match yours or your child's.

While dogs are usually more agreeable to dress up than cats, not all canine's have the same tolerance for costumes. Try to pick an outfit that you think your dog will wear, at least until after the Halloween photos are taken.dog disney costume

I've tried to pick everyone's favorite characters, but I know I missed some. The link below goes to a page with several dog Disney costumes for sale, or you can scroll down for pictures and reviews of specific characters.

I've of course included Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, as well as the adorable Goofy. You can also choose from a few of the Disney princesses, the always glum Eeyore, and some newer characters like Mr Incredible.

Mickey Mouse for Halloween

Mickey Mouse has been around since 1928, so he's had plenty of time to be famous. Everyone will recognize who your puppy is going as immediately. This is a fairly simple costume and not as fancy as Snow White's. But it has everything your dog needs to be a mouse for a night.

    The main part of the outfit is the black and red "dress" that Minnie is known for wearing. The headpiece has the round black ears with a large red bow. This costume attaches in two places. There are snaps under the belly and a tie under the chin.

It's great for Halloween or whenever you want to dress your dog up in a fun costume. This outfit comes in three sizes: small, medium, and large, so choose the right one when you order.

    It's officially licensed, so it's a pretty accurate representation of Cinderella's gown. It's made to be durable and will last longer than just Halloween night. Though it is hard to tell in the picture, it does have embroidered details and comes with accessories.

The Disney character of Goofy has been around since the 1930s. He was originally called Dippy Dawg, then George Geef or G.G. Geef. He's Mickey's best friend, so this is a great costume to pair with Mickey Mouse if you have two dogs.

    This Disney dog costume has two pieces. The main piece are the orange and black pants. The other, and possibly more important, piece is the headpiece. This is Goofy's famous tall green hat.

    Mr Incredible Dog Halloween Costume

    incredibles dog costumeIf you are looking for a more modern Disney character for your dog this Halloween, consider Mr. Incredible. The Incredibles movie introduced this superhero family and it is one of my favorite Disney movies, made by Pixar Animation Studios.

    This costume has two pieces. The main piece is the bright red shirt with the Incredibles logo on the back. The other is the black mask for the face. While this looks nice, not all dogs will be willing to wear it. If it bothers your dog, put it on for the pictures only. Fortunately the outfit doesn't need it to look good.

    Dog Peter Pan Halloween Costume

    It's a green rhinestone dress and it has small wings attached to it. Almost everyone will be able to recognize who your dog is dressed as.
