Ew, Another Direct-to-Video Disney Movie?
My first reaction when I heard about the Tinker Bell movie was negative. Great. Yet another cheesy direct-to-video movie milking the success of a Disney classic until all the magic is gone.After doing more research, I think that this could end up being one of the better things that Disney has churned out in a while. Here's why:
When Pixar executive John Lasseter saw what Disney was working on, it really put him in a foul mood. Lasseter complained that the Tinker Bell movie was "virtually unwatchable." Because of Lasseter's involvement, the movie's release was delayed for a year so that it could get a major overhaul.
Disney had to scrap 90% of the original story. It's thought that Tinker Bell may have ended up costing as much to make as a feature film like Cars!
Since John Lasseter of Pixar got involved in the Tinker Bell movie, I for one am very curious to see this movie when it comes out.

More Tinker Bell Movies?
I'm not sure what to think about this, but apparently Disney is planning to create four Tinker Bell movies altogether. One Tinker Bell movie will be released each year, starting with the first one this October. Check out the list:- Tinker Bell (2008)

Tinker Bell Game for Nintendo DS
Tinker Bell and the other Disney fairies are getting their own game for the Nintendo DS. It sounds like you get to play Tinker Bell, explore the world of Pixie Hollow, and meet up with pixie friends like Iridessa and Silvermist.It will be a while before this game comes out. You should be able to get it around the holidays.

Pixie Hollow is a magical place, as you would expect. It can only be reached through a portal behind a waterfall in Never Land.The fairies who live in Pixie Hollow make their homes in flowers, tree trunks, and other natural places. They like to be near sunlight or streams.

Create a Fairy
If you visit Disney's official website for the Tinker Bell movie, you'll find a section where you can create, customize, and name your own fairies. You can create up to three. However, you'll need to create an account before you can get started.You can choose a special ability for your fairy, but the most fun is choosing your fairy's appearance and giving her a cute outfit. You can also decorate a house for her once you're finished.
Apart from printing out your fairy, I'm not sure what all you can do with her. However, apparently you can "visit" other fairies people have made, add them as friends, and leave messages for them.
