Where Fantasy Comes to Life

Fantasy is the central theme of the Magic Kingdom. This park was designed for those who are kids or at least kids at heart. Guests can live out their fantasies in seven themed lands. Begin with this page and the EZ Fun Maps that follow to learn more about this fantasy world.

Opened in October 1971, the Magic Kingdom was the first park at Walt Disney World. It is a tribute to Walt's dream that "the young at heart of all ages can laugh and play and learn — together." Those words engraved on a plaque in Cinderella's castle say it all!
