The Actresses Who Played Princess Jasmine

Linda Larkin is the actress who did the speaking voice of Jasmine in Disney Aladdin, Return To Jafar and Aladdin and The King of Thieves along with all the other spinoffs of Aladdin including Jasmine's Enchanted Tale and Kingdom's Heart first and second. Linda was born on March 20, 1970 in Alaska but raised to Duluth, Minnesota until the fifth grade when her family moved to Maplewood. Linad started out studying dance until she turned 18, moved to New York City to attend Hofstra University when she changed from dance to acting. In the 1990s Linda was cast in a few tv series such as Murder, She Wrote and Doogie Howser, M.D. before getting the role of Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin. When she was cast in the role of Jasmine, she was told she had to lower her voice because Disney thought her voice was to high for Jasmine. Since starting the role of Jasmine, Linda still had roles throughout the years in shows such as Wings, Almost Home, Law and Order Criminal Intent, New York News and Trinity as well as films such as My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, Runaway Bride, Two Ninas, The Next Best Thing, Fear Of Fiction, Knots and Joshua. But she has always continued to her role as the voice of Jasmine and on August 19, 2011 Linda Larkin was honoured as a Disney Legend.

Lea Salonga was the singing voice of Jasmine in the first Disney Aladdin movie. She also did Jasmine's singing voice in Disney Princess Enchanted Tale and the 1995 television version of Aladdin On Ice. And on August 19 2011, she was also honored as a Disney Legend. Born on February 27, 1971 this talented young lady made her professional debut in 1978 at age 7 in Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I, her recording career began at the age of 10 with her first album, Small Voice, which received a gold certification. Anywhere I Wander - Liz Callaway

Liz Callaway was the singing voice of Jasmine in The Return of Jafar and Aladdin and The King Of Thieves. Born on April 13, 1961 in Chicago. She made her broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim's short-lived but now famous Merrily We Roll Along (1981). Callaway is the sister of Ann Hampton Callaway, with whom she sang the theme song for the Fran Drescher comedy series The Nanny. In addition to providing the singing voice of Jasmine, Callaway has also provided the singing voices for Kiara in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, Odette in The Swan Princess, and Anya/Anastasia in Anastasia. Kristi Yamaguchi: Power Workout

In 1999, Disney came out with The Magical World of Disney On Ice and as part of that ice show was Aladdin on Ice. The figure skater for Jasmine was none other then Kristi Yamaguchi, winner of the 1992 Olympic Champion in ladies singles, World Champion twice, in 1991 and 1992, and U. S. National Champion in 1992. Born on July 12, 1971 in Hayward California, Kristi started skating at the age of six. In 1996 Kristi established the Always Dream Foundation to support organizations that have a positive influence on children. Over the years Kristi has appeared as herself in movies and shows such as Tall In The Saddle, You Must Remember This, D2: The Mighty Ducks, Everybody Loves Raymond, Go Figure and Dancing With Stars.
