Disney Tangled Movie And Activities

Disney Tangled Rapunzel released on November 2010 by Disney has a slightly different version of Rapunzel story that we have all known. In Rapunzel's story by the brothers Grimms, it was told that Rapunzel was a beautiful girl who was shut in a tower away from everyone. She had her destiny because her parents once stoled a Rampion (rapunzel) belonged to a powerful enchantress who was feared by anyone. At the age of 12, the enchantress demanded Rapunzel's parents to hand her daughter as a recompense for their stealing her plants. Years after years, Rapunzel lived alone in the enchantress' tower, he enchantress only came once in a while to feed her. It was when she sang in her loneliness a passing prince heard her beautiful voice and fell in love with her. He helped Rapunzel and saved her out of the tower.

Disney Tangled (Rapunzel) 2010:
Once upon a time, a piece of sunlight fell into the earth, growing a beautiful golden flower that has the power of restoring illnesses and wounds. An old wicked lady named Mother Gothel found the flower and kept it for her own self. She used the power of the flower to restore her youth by singing a song to it. Meanwhile at the palace, a king and queen were expecting a child. Unfortunately, the queen grew very ill during her pregnancy, leaving the life of her unborn child and herself in the balance. The king ordered his servants to look for the cure that can bring the queen's health back.

One of the king's guards found the magic golden flower that Mother Gothel kept and brought it to the king's palace. The magic flower cured the queen and she gave birth to a baby girl with beautiful golden hair, named Rapunzel. Mother Gothel kidnapped baby Rapunzel because she believed that the power of the flower belonged to her. She raised Rapunzel in a tower far from anyone and never let Rapunzel knew that she had kidnapped her.

Every year on Rapunzel's birthday, the kingdom had a festival of lights in remembrance of their lost princess. Rapunzel saw the lights from her window and longed to visit the kingdom. One day, a thief named Flynn Rider broke into her tower. Rapunzel took his satchel containing the stolen crown jewels. She promised to return it if he helped her out of the tower and took her to the light festival, and Flynn agreed. They escaped along with Rapunzel's pet chameleon Pascal, and Maximus, a horse who takes it upon himself to capture Flynn and return him to the royal guards. Together with a band of colorful brigands, Rapunzel and Flynn avoid the guards and a vengeful Mother Gothel to reach the kingdom in time for the festival. In the end they fell in love.
