Disney Halloween Costumes

Disney Halloween Costumes

We are constantly searching for great Disney Halloween costumes. My nine year old daughter simply adores October 31st. She loves the idea of becoming someone else for the night. Last year she went as Cinderella. I searched through a number of great Disney Halloween costumes and just could not find the right one. So about a week before Halloween I decided I would simply have to design her Disney costume myself. I had to find the body suit and put on sequins. Then I used an old slip to make a shell for the bottom. I was lucky to find some blue satin and that finished the main outfit. But then I had to figure out all the accessories. Talk about work LOL.

This year is virtually the same deal. Well that's it, I am no longer bothering with our local Halloween superstores. You know the ones that typically pop up in September. Don't get me wrong they do carry a few great Disney Halloween costumes, but they always sell out of everything so quick. This can be a huge bummer when you are after that one special costume. Oh, and don't even get me started on their prices. I mean they want how much for a cheap thin plastic mask that rips with in the first hour of wearing it. So this year I am shopping here on the World Wide Web for all of our Disney Halloween Costumes!

Disney Halloween Costumes are great fun. When we live in a day and age of violence on TV and in the games our kids play it is nice to know that there is still a fun and wholesome way to dress up for Halloween. Be a Princess or a Swash Buckling Pirate, a Cowboy or Race Car Disney costumes are kid friendly and mother approved.

Disney Halloween Costumes came in many styles and fashions. That is what makes the so great. You child can be anything from a Princess to a Space Ranger. Maybe he don't want to be a Race Car but rather a Tow Truck.

Consider the following When choosing a Halloween Costume:

  • Your child's vision is not blocked or impaired

  • No cumbersome masks.

  • Bright colors that can easily be seen at night.

  • No hanging or dangling costume parts that reach the floor that could be a tripping danger.

  • Flame retardant costumes.

No matter which Disney Halloween Costume your son or daughter chooses you can feel good about them wearing it. Disney is Family focused fun right down to thier Halloween Costumes.

My son loves Spiderman and I think Disney can inject some new and fresh ideas into the Marvel Universe.

I can't fathom Disney buying out Marvel. I honestly never thought Marvel would fold. But then again I guess Stan Lee is getting up there in age :(

Spider-Man To Be Next Of Many Disney Halloween Costumes?

News is that Disney is in negotiations to purchase Marvel Comics. This means that there will be a whole new lineup of Disney Halloween Costumes to hit the market possibly as soon as this Halloween.

According to Rick Johnston of the Sacramento Business Journal "In what Walt Disney Co. president and chief executive officer Robert Iger called "a great opportunity at the right time," Disney is buying Marvel Entertainment Inc. in a $4 billion cash-and-stock deal, putting Spider-Man under the same umbrella as Mickey Mouse." Yes now Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine and many more super heroes will be on the shelves at the Disney Store side by side with all your favorite Disney Halloween costumes.

But don't get to excited just yet. You most likely will not see Disney tags being slapped onto these super hero costumes as Disney wants to keep the Marvel brand and not convert it. Walt Disney Co. president and chief executive officer Robert Iger stated "The goal here is not to rebrand Marvel as Disney".

What this does mean though is that Disney will be adding over more than 5,000 characters, including Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men to their properties. How many of these will become the latest Disney Halloween Costumes?
