He is the man. My kids love Perry the Playtpus. He is the family pet and yet he finds time to wonder off and fight crime. Very fun show to watch with my kids.

Now my kids are putting me to the challenge - they want Phineas and Ferb 24/7 - luckily we stocked up on one of the Phineas and Ferb dvd's so even if Disney has different programming for the day - we got it covered!!
I googled a few weeks ago and found some interesting ways to create your own Perry costume.. Check out the featured blog posts - I hope they are as helpful as the one I found.

WARNING from Halloween 2010: BEFORE YOU BUY YOUR PHINEAS, FERB or PERRY COSTUME...
Lucky enough I found a Phineas costume & received it a few weeks ago! I also found someone from NY that had all the costumes listed on eBay. I reached out and said I would like all of them. Bought them via Buy It Now as they were selling on eBay and have been waiting since the last week of September for the costumes to arrive. On Oct 1, 2010 found out - Disney is not allowing people to sell these costumes. With that said - PLEASE don't buy them. Right now I am waiting for a refund.

Halloween Costumes for Agent P
Got a Phineas and Ferb fan in your house? If so, there's a good chance Halloween this year is going to be all about these two brothers andtheir band of friends - and maybe their enemies! The question is, how to transform your child into a teal platypus or a tattooed scientist?
Premade costumes are probably your best bet. Someone else has done all the design work, so they're mom-friendly. Costumes range from inexpensive to rather pricey, depending on the quality of construction and materials used. But whether you go with a DIY costume, or opt for a store-bought design, it pays to know a little about each character. That way, you can add just the right touch of realism to the outfit - if anything based on a cartoon character can be said to be "realistic."
Agent P, or "Perry" as he's known to his close friend, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, plays a dual role. To the family of Phineas and Ferb, he's fondly known
as Perry the Platypus. However, when he transforms into Agent P, his look is - well - not that much different from that of family pet! He tries
to disguise his teal colored body (he doesn't wear clothes) by adding a brown and black "detective" style fedora that doubles as a circular saw.
In addition, there's a watch-like communicator on his left paw covered by his fur. His orange beak, orange feet and long, beaver-like tail are still visible and should be a give away to everyone as to whom he really is. He is also to magical produce all kinds of gadgets to aid his efforts such as a video chatting device to talk with headquarters, parachute, orange paraglider, grappling gun, hover jet, and white scooter. Yet, no one seems to put two and two together and expose his dual role as secret agent/family pet.

Halloween Costumes for Dr. Doofenshmirtz
Where can I get a Dr. Doofenshmirtz costume?
Dr. Doofenshmirtz epitomizes an evil, somewhat deranged, scientist. Towering above most others at 6 feet, 2 inches tall, he has the classic hunched over body you would expect of a mad scientist in the creepy castle on the hill.His attire includes the traditional long, white lab coat that covers a sleeveless, black turtleneck shirt, either gray or dark green pants, and black shoes. When he removes his lab coat, one is certain to notice the tattoo on his left bicep of the word "Evil" in purple ink with a pointed tail coming from the "L" in evil.
His pointy-head is shaped like an egg (as in egghead professor), and he has rather ugly features including a crooked nose, bags under his eyes, very angular chin, and arthritic looking fingers. Of course, the classic cluster of hair is nestled atop his head, although it's in a quite normal brown color -- unlike Phineas whose hair is red, and Ferb, who sports a green mop.
With a uniqueness that is only found in Disney characters like the Phineas and Ferb gang, it's a cinch to assemble a look that will make your child the center of attention - and if you can include a parachute, all the better!

- I don't understand the comment about buying the costumes. the statement said "i've been waiting since the last week of sept, but on oct 1st no one could buy one".. it's sept 11th. am i the only one confused?
