Disney Pins

Disney pin trading is a great addition to anyone who loves to visit Disney theme parks. I've been going to Disney parks for over 25 years(Thanks Mom & Dad!) and just started getting into pin trading in the last 5 years. Whether you are new or experienced the information on this page can help you know what you need to have a really great collection!

Pin Trading from this site is specifically designated toward Disney Pins.  There are many sites on the internet dedicated to Disney Pin Trading and Disney pin trading rules that surround it.  Disney pins are not traded for cash, you trade person to person.  It is really a blast!  Here I will include links to some great websites with trading information and some of my favorite Ebay Sellers of Special Pins including Cast Member Pins and Limited Edition Pins.

Is it Expensive? Not if you follow my easy steps!

Here's me & my wife at Magic Kingdom. My 4 yr old son took the pic!

Disney pin trading can really become an expensive hobby if you let it. Unless you know how to start on a budget. Pins that you purchase at the Disney theme parks start at $6.95 and limited edition pins start at $10.95 and increase in price depending on the size of the limited edition. On this page I've found and listed some of the great Ebay sellers who can help you start a collection for a low price.

Disney Pin Trading Etiquette

This is the information you need to start(or maintain) a great Disney pin collection. The pins you see in this picture is my current collection!

It is a good idea to remember a few simple rules when trading Disney pins with other Disney park visitors. They are proud of their collections, just like you are yours, so try and trade fair. I always like to find kids that are just starting and trade them a special pin for one of their starter pins. I do this because it helps them, and I know that I can trade the starter pin to a cast member for something else later on. If I find another guest that is interested in one of my limited edition pins or a retired pin they need to be able to trade me something of equal value in both our eyes to keep the trade fair.

If you read and follow the rules on this lens and any other pin trading information you can find on the internet you can have a great time. It really does help to buy inexpensive pins just to have some on hand to trade. Here's a picture of my current pin collection.

How Many Pins do you have?

Take 1 of these along to carry ALL your pins!

A lanyard is a great way to display your pins, but when you get TOO many, you NEED something a little bigger to carry all your pins in.

I have maxed out my lanyard at 20 pins, and it starts to get a little heavy. My son can wear about 8 pins without going crazy. We have to carry a bag like these to display the rest! These are lower priced than in the park.

Disney Cast Member NameTags

Some people have a real fascination with having an authentic Disney Cast Member Name Tag. Here is the current listing of the 5 ending soonest. Good luck getting your hands on one, they seem to sell for more than $10 a piece most of the time.

Disney Lanyards and Starter Pin Sets combined

It is often less expensive to buy a starter pin set and lanyard combo online instead of waiting to buy it at one of the parks.

One Final Chance to get LOTS of pins!

Sometimes you can find a great deal on a grab bag or a LOT of pins.

If you are buying a LOT or a grab bag, just remember that pins cost at least $7 at Disney. Buy a lot that is going to cost less per pin including shipping! And you can find plenty of them!
