Once you get into Disney Pin Trading it usually follows that you'll want to get more involved. It is a very enjoyable pastime and adds a whole new dimension of amusement when visiting a Disney theme park. You may even find yourself spending more time pin trading than standing in long lines. The hobby is enjoyed all over the globe and an unbelievable amount of information is available regarding the world of Disney Pin Trading. This lens will provide you with some of that information. There's a ton to cover here, so "hold on to yer hats 'n glasses, coz this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!" ;)

DISNEY PIN TRADING NIGHTS

Most Disney Resorts host Disney Pin Trading Nights once or twice a month. These events are a great time to get together with other local pin traders as well as visiting pin traders from around the globe. Your first Pin Trading Night will probably leave you amazed at just how many collectible Disney Trading Pins and Disney Pin Traders are out there. It will certainly take some time to get to know several pin traders, but many of the faces will be familiar from your trading adventures at the theme park. Limited edition pins are also available for purchase at the Disney Pin Trading Nights. These pins are not sold inside the parks!

Disney sponsors special events annually. These events usually include the option to purchase collectible Disney Trading Pins. The pins available at these events are almost always Limited Editions that will not be sold except to attendees of the events and these Disney Pins are typically highly sought after by those who didn't attend.

Whether or not you live close to a Disney theme park, you will soon find yourself tapping into the online world of Disney Pin Trading. As with most subjects these days, there are a vast number of sites that offer information about Disney Pins including information on the latest releases, collectors groups, web rings, pins for trade and pins for sale.

PinPics.com is by far my favorite Disney Pin Trading resource on the net. It is a very user friendly site that maintains an index of Disney Pins as well as many other types of pins, assigning a unique pin number to each pin or pin set. The vast majority of Disney Pin Traders out there already use, or will soon be using this site. The description for each pin includes a photo, release date, edition size, release location, sku number, original price and more in a very clear and concise manner.

What makes PinPics so special? Unlike other sites out there where you simply purchase Disney pins, PinPics facilitates pin trading. Users set up their "wants" and "for trades" under a user id and password. Trades are then negotiated through e-mail. This is a great way to connect with people, as you will soon be making trades with other Disney Pin collectors all over the world! You also have something to look forward to when you agree to a trade, lets face it, everyone loves receiving packages in the mail - especially when it's a Disney Pin! ;)

      We're planning a vacation in Jan 2010 and are looking to get pins ahead of time for trading. I came upon a website (mousepinsonline.com) that offered pin lots. The lots can containe Bertoni pins. Are these official pins and can they be traded? I was hoping to find out before ordering any pins.

      found your lens from your comment on my Disney Pin Trading lens. I'll have to update my pinpics collection and add it here. I've got well over 150 pins and would love to trade with other squids. Thanks! My son and I love Pirate pins and Buzz Lightyear, but we have all kinds of others!

This way you will have the option to stop in and trade as often as you'd like, even for just a few hours, completely guilt free! Both Disneyland and Disney World have pin stores and trading areas where you can find pin traders at any given time on any given day you.

      Thanks for all your info in getting started it has helped a lot.
      I have loved the thought of collecting disney pins for years but have only now started to buy a few on ebay for my two kids.
