Everything You Never Knew You Needed To Know About Walt Disney World Vacations

Ranked #26,534 in Travel & Places, #605,956 overall

Planning a Walt Disney World vacation? Thinking about it? Just fantasizing about the possibility? I can help you get started.

A Walt Disney World vacation can be a wonderful experience, whether for a family with small children, with teens, for a couple, or for a big group of friends. But sometimes, getting there can seem, well, downright daunting.

But there are ways around the stress. The World Wide Web is chock full of useful information, money-saving tips, shortcuts, and... sometimes best of all... others who, like you, are looking at their vacation plans with frustration, or bewilderment, or... if they've followed my tips... bemusement.

They are willing to help. So am I.

You'll find in this lens links to the important starting places, including the official Disney sites, and of course, the unofficial (and therefore often more important!) sites started by Disney fanatics the World Wide Web over. I'll add as much info as I possibly can that might help take the stress out of planning your vacation, and make the planning as magical as the trip itself.

So get started! Go, I won't stop ya!

The Big Ones

Official Disney Sites You Can't Miss

Here's a good starting place... with the Mouse himself.
The Parks of Walt Disney World
There are four major parks... Magic Kingfom, Epcot, Disney Studios and Animal Kingdom... and two water parks... Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon... to explore here. After all, the parks are the reason to go in the first place!
The Resorts of Walt Disney World
There are so many advantages to staying on-property at Walt Disney World... and so many price ranges in which to do it... that I can't recommend it highly enough. Convenient transportation, extra time in the parks, Magical Express service from Orlando International Ariport, and so on. Here, in Disney's own words, are their Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Vacation Club Resorts.
My Disney Vacation
The page on disneyworld.com that brings it all together. Plan your trip from this central location, and you're never far from the magic of Disney World!
