Cheap Disney World Specials and How To Save Money on Your Disney World Vacation

The problem facing most families being coerced by the children to go on a trip to Disney World is how to afford it without taking out an extra mortgage! There are however a number of practical steps that can sensibly be taken to limit the financial pain of this sort after holiday and in truth save a lot of money.

Choose When and Where to Visit.

If you have the luxury of being able to choose not only when you will visit Disney World, but also where you will visit, then without hesitation go to Hong Kong. You will have the place to yourself and you will love it. Unfortunately that scenario is not really compatible with trying to reduce costs. So, if Florida it has to be, then try to go when the rest of the world is not there also. Choose off peak times and take advantage of reduced ticket prices and accommodation costs. Now if you live close enough so that going more than once a year is a real option you might consider the savings available by purchasing a family ticket that allows multiple entry for twelve months.

Use the Internet

This tip is so blindingly obvious and yet not everyone takes advantage of being able to buy tickets in advance. The advantages are huge and you can see at a glance the discounts and special package arrangements that are available. Trying to do all that once you arrive at Disney World is a complete no-no. Why would you? - and yet people do! Just think of the queues you'll be avoiding.

Think About Where to Stay.

My daughter and her family recently stayed at a hotel within the grounds of Disneyland in Paris. They said it was fantastic and they saved a considerable amount of money by doing so. They reduced their travel costs and they were there in the thick of it for the duration of their stay. First thing in the morning for a couple of hours the hotel residents had the run of the place before it was opened to the visiting public.

Track Down Discounts.

Scour the Internet and the press for every available discount! Look for Disney World coupons and discount tickets. They are there to be had. If you have a Disney rewards credit card, use it. Do you belong to any clubs or organizations which have secured discounts with Disney? What about your employer? Check it all out. Millions of dollars worth of available discounts go unclaimed very year. Take full advantage of these - they will help to keep a smile on your face for the whole visit.

Now - how do you go about all this? Well, I think I can help you there too by pointing you in the right direction - so read on!

This is known as chase your tail! By the time you have found a free disney package your children will have grown up and be taking their own children to Disney World! But cheap discounted tickets are available, although there can be some inconveniences attached - often associated with timeshare. If you are prepared to suffer the timeshare salesman, then certainly it can be a way of securing a heavily discounted ticket to Disney World - but free comes at terrible a price. Are you prepared to pay it? Personally I would pay to not have to suffer the timeshare selling brigade.

But the ticket price is only a part of the overall cost of your Disney World vacation, and that is how it should be seen. Without doubt though, with the right advice and help, you can create your own cheap Disney World specials which will give you a lot of satisfaction, and you will know exactly what each element of your vacation package has cost or is costing. A much better way of doing things in my view.

In a phrase - move to Florida! Those who live in Florida are awarded special discounts - not only for Disney World but for other attractions in the Orlando area. And you don't have tp be a full-time resident either, so listen up if this is you!

Disneyland or Disney World - that is the question

Some people might not realize that Disneyland and Disney World are not the same place. So I thought it might be an idea to spell it out so that you are quite sure what it is you want to see and where you have to go for it.

Firstly, Disneyland is in California, while Disney World is in Florida. Well - there's a substantial difference there and you wouldn't want to confuse the two! Also Disneyland is city based while Disney World is in open country. This has immediate implication when considering your accommodation arrangements. For example, unless you stay at one of the Disney World hotels or camp sites you will have to drive for about half an hour or so from your hotel to the park. Quite the opposite for Disneyland where you can stay at a hotel in Anaheim and walk to the park.

Of course the fact that Disneyland is on a city center site means that its ability to expand is severely limited. There is no such restriction for Disney World which has acres and acres at its disposal and four large parks including the MGM studios. It is quite a place, and it is here you will find the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

The moral of all this is that when planing your Disney vacation, you must make sure your heading in the right direction!
