Space Mountain is my favorite, although it has been quite some time since I have been back to Disney World so I have not had the opportunity to try a couple of them.
  • cold0911 Mar 18, 2012 @ 1:29 am | delete
Space Mountain, although I have yet to ride Everest, which looks nice.

I'm afraid I don't much fancy roller coasters at all. Believe it or not, even the buses where I'm currently traveling (Florianópolis, Brazil) feel a bit too much like roller coasters for me! I have ridden the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and it was great! Thanks for a cool lens1
  • villasandhomes Jan 4, 2012 @ 4:41 am | delete
Thanks so much! I checked out your lenses and your photos are fantastic!
  • Tolovaj Dec 28, 2011 @ 12:46 pm | delete

Ooooh, I think I'll love these roller coaster rides. Just checked your Disney rides lens. I haven't been on a roller coaster ride in a long time, though, so I'm not sure how I'll handle them now.
  • dreamry Dec 3, 2011 @ 8:34 pm | delete
I've never been to Disney World but have been to Disneyland about 100 times. My favorite was always Space Mountain.
  • MilDis Nov 26, 2011 @ 9:13 am | delete
My favorite is Rock n' Roller Coaster! I love the initial take off and the loops.
  • Jennifer_Glennon Nov 14, 2011 @ 7:01 pm | delete
I love roller coasters and there is now way that I could have a favorite.
  • aj2008 Nov 10, 2011 @ 3:36 am | delete
My fav? Errrr....I have to be honest, since you asked - none of them. It was while riding the Big Thunder ride in 1987 that I discovered that there's something inside of me that makes it physically terrifying for me to go up and down the drops on roller coaster rides. 20 years laster I discovered I have a disease of the inner ear, so I no longer feel "stupid" that I hate these things.

However, on a more positive note all four of my children love them and the more terrifying the better. I get giddy just watching them :)

I do wish all your excellent guides had been available when we visited Disney World :D
  • cffutah Oct 19, 2011 @ 8:35 pm | delete
don't know how I haven't seen this lens yet, this is only the best vacation spot in the world for my family! easy 'thumbs up' from me.
  • TravelingMouse Oct 9, 2011 @ 8:52 pm | delete
Aerosmith Rock N Roller Coaster is my favorite coaster in WDW. The launch start in to the loop is a great first punch.
  • RavenRunner Sep 7, 2011 @ 6:14 pm | delete
I enjoy Space Mountain and will eventually write a lens about each of these coasters and even more. I have about 76 different coasters to write about so far in my quest to ride in all 50 states. Thanks for your thoughts on these!
  • Disney is AWESOME! Aug 9, 2011 @ 5:16 pm | delete
Just rode Everest today, and LOVED it!! It's currently my favorite until I ride Rockin' Rollercoaster for the first time.
  • WorldVisionary Jul 28, 2011 @ 6:17 pm | delete
Such a nice lens! I visited Disney World years ago and went on Space Mountain. It's still a classic!
  • StellaSingles Jun 26, 2011 @ 10:15 am | delete
these coasters are great, but my fav is in Jackson, NJ at 6 Flags great adventure. (The Great American Scream Machine.)
  • JoshK47 Jun 22, 2011 @ 12:14 pm | delete
I have to say, my favorite is probably Expedition Everest, though the Magic Kingdom coasters are such classics, and that launch on Rock n Roller Coaster is awesome --- do I have to pick??
  • Beatlesgirl55 May 31, 2011 @ 6:07 pm | delete

Big Thunder is my favorite, even though it's not scary - I just love the whole experience and the attention to detail.
  • Squidoolinepro Dec 13, 2010 @ 11:49 am | delete
I love them all....but haven't been in awhile.
  • thrivingmom Nov 24, 2010 @ 2:53 pm | delete
Fun! I can't wait until my kids are all old enough to ride the coasters. I'll have to stick to the kiddies rides for a few more years.
  • SofiaMann Oct 11, 2010 @ 7:06 pm | delete
Everest expedition is my favorite even though it scares me. Great lens.
  • CeleryStalker Sep 29, 2010 @ 8:17 pm | delete
The aerosmith ride was my favorite. Shame all the other people I was with were too scared to go on it, they missed out on a fun coaster :)
  • rachsue Sep 27, 2010 @ 6:59 pm | delete
WOW>>>I really need to get there!! Thanks for such a great lens!
  • ppt5551 Sep 14, 2010 @ 12:46 pm | delete
Being such a huge Aerosmith fan, my favorite coaster was the Rock n' Roller coaster. It was a highlight of my trip. The other highlight was the wonderful TishmanHotels Disney World resort we stayed in. The Swan and Dolphin was elegant and the staff was so nice.
  • emily Aug 30, 2010 @ 2:09 pm | delete

  • lasertek Apr 29, 2010 @ 3:14 am | delete
Space mountain and Big thunder mountain are my favorites. Haven't ridden it for a long while. Might try it again one of these days. 5*
  • BarbRad Mar 18, 2010 @ 5:53 pm | delete
I'm afraid I don't' have one. I don't do roller coasters of any kind. My experience of Disney theme parks is limited to the original Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. My dad helped build it, and my band played there shortly after it opened. I think I was in Jr. High. I enjoyed reading about what those more adventurous than I do. I didn't realize you had a travel agency.
  • WindyWinters Mar 18, 2010 @ 1:17 pm | delete
Congratulations on your Purple Star. I have to say that Big Thunder Mountain is a favorite and Space Mountain, NOT (lol). :)

My family likes all of them. However, we have not been back since the opening of Expedition Everest. We hope to return in the next two years and have a go at it. Great lens idea.
  • mistyriver Feb 12, 2010 @ 9:50 pm | delete
My favorite is the Rock N Roller Coaster with Expedition Everest a close second!
  • seashell2 Feb 12, 2010 @ 10:06 am | delete
Awesome lens... Big Thunder Mountain is always a favourite... although I admit I can't handle the roller coasters like I could in my teens and earlier years. My husband and boys absolutely love them though. Magic Mountain was there dream holiday for roller coaster riding. I went shopping! lol :-)
  • strayspay Feb 8, 2010 @ 5:58 pm | delete
Great lens and it looks like so much fun but I personally can't do Roller Coasters. I think the grandkids would like Big Thunder Roller Coaster though.
  • lakern26 Feb 8, 2010 @ 1:38 pm | delete
It's been a long time since I've been to Disney World, so long in fact that some of these coasters didn't exist. That being said, I'd have to go with Space Mountain, at least until I've tried the others! They do look awesome and I can't wait - my son and I are big roller coaster fans. Thanks so much for the information - it's very good to know about those Child Swap and Fastpass options as many people aren't aware of them.
  • Heather426 Feb 8, 2010 @ 12:24 pm | delete
Wonderful lens! I still like Thunder Mountain the best of all of them. We used to go and ride it at midnight and go around all to all the people in line first to get them to yell really loud with us so by the time it stopped at the end the people waiting in line would wonder what the hell we were on...as we were really loud all through the ride. Then we would do it again, over and over. Such good memories. After dark the kids go home and the adults can play!

Roller coasters and me definitely don't mix. I'm more of the "get a drink, sit down, watch everyone else be petrified on the ride" kind of guy. Outstanding work!

I am going to Disney World for summer vacation. Not to mention I haven't been there since I was in preschool, and that was a long time ago. The last time I was there I couldn't even get on splash mountain. Either I was too scared or too short. So, I was just looking for the thrilling roller coasters and the wet rides too.
  • TrueGhostTales Jun 3, 2009 @ 6:50 am | delete
I visited Disney World when I was about 14 years old (a long time ago). I would love to take my family there for a good time some day. Nice lens and you have really made me want to go!

I must ashamedly admit to never having been to Disney World, even though I have even been to Kissimmee, Fl. on business before. I have been to Disneyland more times than I can remember, and Thunder Mountain is a ride which is at both locations. I really loved it as a kid, but I have kind of gone away from the whole amusement park thing.
  • DrRichard Dec 22, 2008 @ 11:58 am | delete
This is great! I've never seen Space Mountain with the lights on before. 5 stars and favorited
