Disposable Plates

We all know how disposable plates are handy and sometimes even essential. We all feel a little pinch when using them, don't we? Whether they're paper plates or plastic plates, they harm the Earth, and we know that but we still use them. 

Maybe we can change all that by considering the environment the next time we think of going out to buy them. Why not invest a little more and get biodegradable plates instead. There are many choices today for those, and they don't have to be very expensive. Some are made from Areca palm, some from PLA (polyactic acid), and some from sugarcane. 

If you're sitting at home, and don't want to do the dishes, think twice about using disposable plates. But if you're planning an event or you own a restaurant and you must use disposable plates, consider using compostable plates instead of plastic or paper ones.
