New Module for The Dissolution of the Monasteries
This new section discusses England's Dissolution of the Monasteries in a European context. In the few years prior to Henry VIII's Act, the Protestant Revolution had started in Germany after Martin Luther published his controversial papers on the practices of the Roman Catholic Church. In fact, other monarchs had set a precedent for abolishing monasteries and confiscating their wealth before Henry VIII did so.
