Depending on where you live, your tap water might be slightly polluted or very polluted. A recent news article stated that drugs had been found in some municipal water supplies. Even if you don't mind what might be in the tap, you might not like the taste.
You may have tried using bottled water. The source of the water in some bottles is unknown, but even if it truly is pristine, bottles clog up our landfills. Some plastics seep chemicals over time. A variety of sources now recommend drinking only out of glass containers.
Distilled water is easy to make and free of the chemicals that may be floating in your water supply. On this page I'll show you the steam distiller I personally use, which will save you money in the long run over buying bottled water and give you a clean source of drinking water.

Water in the human body acts as a solvent, carrying nutrients to every living cell, and transporting waste material out of the cells for removal. Efficient absorption of nutrients and efficient elimination of wastes through the kidneys and liver is only possible when water, the transport medium, is clean. Distilled water removes poisonous substances and inorganic mineral matter from the human body. How do I use it?
It's easy. This distiller comes with a water collection bottle, charcoal packets and a cleaning agent you can use occasionally to remove any buildup. Here's what you do:
Fill up the included water bottle and pour it into the distiller. Put the top of the distiller back on and plug it in. Place the top on the water bottle and set it under the spout. If the distiller doesn't start automatically, just push the button on the side. The distiller takes care of the rest. It will even turn itself off when it is done.
You can use the water right away, either warm, or let it cool. You can store it in a glass pitcher in the fridge if like it cold. Then you can use the distiller again once it's cooled down. Just wipe out the inside and start over. You can make a gallon every four hours.

How much can you make?
The distiller will make one gallon of distilled water every four hours. We drink a lot of water. I like to start a batch when I get up on Saturday and through the day I'll pour the water into one of our containers and start another. I'll get four to six gallons that way, which lasts the week and sometimes longer.

How much can I save?
If you're buying bottled water, you're probably spending about a dollar per bottle or more. If you drink three bottles a day, that will add up pretty quickly. It won't take long to make up the cost of the distiller and from then on you're using your own water. You'll not only save money on bottled water but you won't be adding more non-biodegradable plastic to landfills. It's a win-win situation.
