My World Of Field Hockey

Field Hockey is always my passion. I played hockey since I was 9 and that sport still remain in my heart. I am addicted to the game and Dita Hockey is one of my favorite choice

Frustrated With The Malaysia Hockey Team 

I am always Malaysia Hockey Team die hard fan but the empire seems not too fair with Malaysia. Last week Malaysia did not qualify for the Olympic after the Japanese controversial goal. The rewind clearly show that the ball hit his hand before the goal. But the decision has been made and Malaysia did not qualify for Olympic

The sad thing is it is not the first this incident happen. During the 2007 Champion Trophy Cup Malaysia also lost due to a controversial by the South Korean. The player is not five yard away from the free hit.

The past should be a good lesson for the team.

The Boring Part of Field Hockey 

Basic Field Hockey Rules

Numbers of Player
22 with 11 substitute or
8 with 2 substitute

Half Time
35 minutes per half for the 22 player team
6-7 minutes per half for the 8 player team

Rolling System
Which mean substitute player could come in or out of the field anytime and there is no limit for the changes

Rules

Field hockey is not much different from football, the only different is hand and legs. In hockey we use hand and football of course legs. Foul is given if you touch the ball by legs (everybody knows about it). The ball must be shoot within the D spot to get a goal.

Green Warning (like yellow card in football)
Yellow Sin Bin (Sent off for 10 minutes)
Red Sent off like every other game
