DIY Fishing Lures

I am a woodworker who loves to fish. Or maybe I'm an angler who loves to whittle, carve, and turn wood. Either way, I have managed to mesh my two favorite hobbies by learning to make my own wooden fishing lures. Although the lures I make don't always outperform my store-bought lures, they DO catch a lot of fish! They are more economical than store-bought lures, and they are a ton of fun to make. Not only that, but there is just a certain feeling of satisfaction knowing that you personally designed and built the lure that boated the big lunker.

I love giving these lures as gifts to friends and family and have even sold a few (although I dare not quit my day job just yet to support myself selling wooden lures).

As this lens evolves, I will add more content about how these lures are made. There are websites and links you can find by doing websearches, and I will be posting some of that info here.
