Valentine's Day Gift Bags
With some small paper bags and some glue, you can make a goody bag for your valentine. Collect some fun embellishments like ribbon, paper and doily hearts, sweet tart hearts and other foam shapes. Glue them on to the outside of the bag. Write a message in glitter glue and allow it to dry. When finished, fill the bag with Valentine chocolates, other sweets, or a stuffed teddy bear. This is an especially easy and cute craft for kids to make for their mom or dad. It will be cherished forever. It's also nice for small siblings to make for one another.

The Valentine Candle
With a votive candle holder made of clear glass, you can create a marvelous Valentine's Day heart candle.Use markers for a stained glass effect or use paints for an easy embellishment. If you're more courageous, try etching the glass with a glass etching kit. It's not as hard as it sounds and you can do some marvelous designs. You can also write your beloved's name on the glass intertwined with yours. Add a votive candle and you've got yourself a gift.

A Jar of Kisses
Find a really attractive glass jar with a lid. Fill it with regular or personalized Hershey Kisses. Decorate the lid with something special like Valentine's Day wrapping paper or fabric in a pretty pattern. You can also have the kids decorate brown craft paper and use it to decorate the lid. Place it over the lid and allow it to overlap. Cut to size and then tie it on to the jar with a pretty ribbon.

- Stained-glass Hearts
- When the urge to wax romantic strikes, these melted-crayon valentines really fit the bill. Parents will need to do a little ironing here, but shaving the crayons is a job that kids can really put their hearts into.
- Thumb Bunny Card
- As every parent knows, kids have a knack for leaving their fingerprints on everything. Now they can use this incredible skill to crank out a whole mess of adorable cards.
- Cracker Box Locker - Valentine Holder
- Just like the real deal, this cool cardboard locker can be spruced up with stickers and tiny posters. (Ours holds valentines instead of math books, however.)

Valentine Gifts for Grandparents
A photo of the kids is a perfect way for Grandma and Grandpa to connect with kids on Valentine's Day. Create a nice frame out of macaroni, paints, clay, or plaster of Paris. When it's dry, stick in a photo of the kids and hand out with hugs and kisses. The modern day version of this involves scanning your photo into the computer, choosing a frame in Picassa or another photo program and then printing it out. But the old fashioned way is so much more special. The kids can write a note on the back of the frame or you can attach a magnet so Grandma can always have it nearby.
Crafting is Fun for All Ages
Choose your crafting materials by age. Don't try complicated crafts with preschoolers.
Tweens and teens may still enjoy playing around with art supplies, so make lots of choices available.
