DIY versus Tradesmen

One of the most popular debates in my DIY Forum is the one that often crops up between DIYer's and tradesmen and that is why should tradesmen answer posts which help people to do the projects themselves?

The answer is simple, people that do DIY will probably never employ a tradesman unless they really need to. Just because people have less money to spend does not mean that they will stop using trades professionals.
