Software DJ-ing: A Whole New Take on DJ-ing and DJ Equipment

The DJ world has evolved faster. It is a known fact that long before the clubs were swarmed with Djs and wannabee DJs, only a few are selected to become disc jockey to add life to a radio show. And yes, it's plainly about announcing the next song, what time it is and probably a few nes flashes every now and then. Today, the genre has exploded to the point where DJ's are now The Show. You're not longer just a DJ --- you are the DJ and the party usually relies its success to your spinning efforts among other else. The most common thing about becoming a DJ is the need for DJ equipment and software --- a lot of technicalities which is a long cry from the DJs of yesterday. Take the DJ turntables for example --- you might want to have a little practice with it before you hit the clubs and do your stuff

A Vast Skill In DJ Equipment & Software Is the Key

A limited knowlegde has its drawbacks

But having a limited skill has never been a major drawback for a DJ especially now that the days of simple turntables are long gone, unless for those who are completely into retro. Today, the foundations of any DJ are equipment and software.

In investing DJ equipment, Pioneer, Chauvet, Numark, American DJ Supply, Gemini, Denon, Stanton and M-Audio are the most preferred by many. Trying to get a hand at software DJing is free, if not cheap. One advantage of using DJ software is that it plays in most computers.

Very nice Lens Amanda! Virtual DJ and the software DJay are what I use most. Just started using my iPad2 with the Djay app. All this DJ software is making it stupidly simple for people who want to get into DJ'ing, which is actually turning into a challenge for the quality DJ companies who charge what they are worth.
