Let's Go Techno!
Once upon a time in a land far away was a small diamond shaped island that time simply forgot (that's the Isle of Wight to you and me). One day a nipper calling himself DJ George Cross decided to put that island firmly back on the map by investing in his first pair of Technics 1200s and playing the funkiest damn house and techno music the world had ever heard. He practised like crazy until his eardrums buzzed and his fingers bled.
His hard work and superior mixing skills soon paid off when he was asked to play at a party, then regular spottings of the Cross could be made at house parties, beach mash-ups, pubs and clubs across the breadth of the fair isle, with one of his dreams coming true when he warmed up the crowd for one of his heros, Dave Mothersole, at one of the Island's premier hotspots.
And so there was much rejoicing and drinking of Dark Rum 'n' Coke.
Nowadays, you'll find DJ George Cross playing in The Kasbah, Ryde and producing the finest flavours of fragrant house, electronica and techno music which you can listen to on his MySpace page.
George Cross' first EP is now available for digital download on Beatport! Just search for George Cross in the bar on the top left of the page.

And here's what some top DJs have to say about the sounds of the Cross -
Tania Vulcano (DC10) - "Full Support"
Brendon Moeller (Leena, Echochord, Third Ear) - "Fresh dubby house that I will definitely be playing at Berghain this weekend."
Pheek (Archipel) - "Good work!"
Jesse Rose (Made To Play, Get Physical) - "Supporting."
Russell Deeks (IDJ Mag House Reviewer) "Nice house vibes here!"
Andy D (Space Ibiza, Ministry Of Sound, The End) - "Loving Finish will play it out tonight!!"
Si Quick (Creamfields, Back To Basics, Ministry Of Sound) - "Liking Finish, nice and thumpy, Can see Rev working good as well, keep them coming."
Tom (The Gallery, The Viceroy) "Superb tracks, full support on both."
DJ Milly Demori (Radio M2O, Kritical Noise, Presslab, Dusk Recordings) - "Of the 2, Rev is my favorite, will play it!"
Nathan Kyle (Landed Productions, Toolroom) - "Both cool tracks here but rev is the one for me guys, nice work George Cross!!"
