Thanks for the comments guys. Obviously this lens is a bit old now, since MixMeister have brought out several new versions since MMP6. MixMeister Fusions being the latest one, which blends the standard laying down of tracks with a studio mixing desk. I must admit, I prefer just laying down tracks most of the time but I have been very impressed by MMF.
That said, I'm sure there's probably a few other new products out there that rival the ones I have mentioned above.

With regard to mixing in a Mac. Well, Ableton Live is probably the most obvious option, but most software is cross-compatible. Sasha, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Charlie May: AKA "Spooky" and Nick Warren are just a few of the key DJs using Ableton Live and a Mac laptop to perform live.

Nice lens! I'm not an expert in this field, but I am considering something like this for a project. Ciao! :)

Nice lens. very informative. I hope you don't mind but I linked you lens to mine. Ive done a round up of my favourite Numark Dj controllers, and your explanation of the software is far better than I could have hoped to do. So if anyone from my lens needs more info on the software, i just send them your way.

Likewise, If anyone wants to know about the latest Numark controllers, head over to mine at www.squidoo.com/numark-dj-controllers
