Where do you find your inspiration? 

That's the question I keep hearing over and over about my beaded designs. 

My inspiration comes mostly from nature with the rich colors of every season.  I also like geometric designs with their fluid lines, the different shades of color cast by the setting sun, historical fashions from the Victorian Era, the bright colors and clean lines of the Retro 50's. 

And then, there's my pets.  Binky is my spoiled rotten little pug with a beautiful black coat that just shines.  Sofie is my  Maine Coon cat with the softest long gray coat and her adopted feline friend, Abigail, has a beautiful coat the color of orange maralaide. 

History also plays a part in my designs.  I like Victorian, Retro, and Early American styles.  And then there's my Swedish & Welsh heritage and the places I've lived and visited. 

Hello!  My name is DLee Babbit and I've been an avid crafter for the past 30 years.  My first project was a basket of flowers and I don't believe I'll ever forget having to sit and do 1000 French Knots.  To this very day, if it has a French Knot, I avoid it like the plague!   I love making tapestries, latch hook rugs, mosaic tiled trays & tables, polymer clay sculptures, beaded pillows, and of course, jewelry!
