Who is Dan Meehan?
Dan Meehan is awesome. He's the guy for the job, even with a photoshopped moustache and a beard that now only exists as stubble. Dan Meehan loves to read and write, and is a budding theologist in a time when they are few and far in between. But Dan is also a poet, a blogger, a financial advisor to friends, an early graduate of high school, a guy who is too smart for college, a guy who doesn't want to accept that idea that he is limited by a job title. I am Dan Meehan, and thanks for coming.
I am soon going to be known as "Elder Meehan" because I will be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I will know exactly where I am called to in a couple of weeks.
Also, the Google search for "Dan Meehan" puts this Squidoo page on the very front page of results, even though this lens has existed for less than a few days.

I also provide services. What kind of services? Humorous ones, financial ones, general advice, writing poems or speeches, I offer general life counseling, and I want to help you become a better person. I may not be the nicest person for that job, but I am one of the best.
When I was very young I knew that I was too intelligent for school and that school would simply be societies vessel for arbitrarily rating children and teenagers as to how they should be in adulthood. One of my main concerns is reforming the educational system. More importantly, I think that High School should be more open during the Junior and Senior years. You can send me money so I don't have to be in said educational system to figure out how to re-work it.
I don't believe in "romantic love" as Hollywood portrays it. Yes I believe in Love and Romance, but fairy tale stories are just that. This has never dissuaded me from liking those kind of stories though, and I imagine I would be the first guy to marry for romantic love. But that won't be for a few years now.
As I grew and learned (grudgingly, mind you) I began to take more interest in my faith. This stems primarily from a moment as a child when I was approached by a stranger in a mall and had my beliefs challenged. It was my first brush with any such thing, and since then I have strived to improve myself and to gain a keen knowledge of doctrine and scriptures.
I try and do good things, and I'm just a kid. I don't really know what to do with my life, but I figure I'll get started now. I do know that in a few short months, I will ve serving a mission, so you could help contribute to the cost of that (~$ 9000 USD).
