DO GHOSTS EXIST?
There's no such thing as a ghost. Or is there?
Ghosts exist in popular culture and in ghost stories, but are there really disembodied spirits in cemeteries and haunted houses? There are many groups today (like Ghost Hunters
There are also those that debunk the existence of ghosts like Penn & Teller.

Yes. The question here shouldn't be "do ghosts exist," because they do. The question truly is "do you believe in the exsitence of ghosts." It's pointless to try to convince someone otherwise who doesn't believe.

Anecdotal evidence simply isn't enough for me. The concept seems somewhat similar to (or at least reminds me of) religious people all having different visions of their prophet/ect, but it always varies and it's always exclusive to their own faith. In both cases, I think there's a strong element of self-delusion motivated by whatever the particular person needs to hear/feel.

Until the existence of ghosts is proven, I will respectfully decline to believe in them, in much the same way I respectfully decline to believe in the existence of Gremlins every time my car breaks down. And I'm no mechanic.

I think that you see what you want to see and you hear what you want to hear a lot. If you go into a house that is supposedly "haunted," you are thinking and maybe hoping that you will see actual ghosts, so when you hear a noise you can't explain or see something, you attribute it to ghosts. It could always be a strange reflection of light, a creak in the floorboard, or just a random occurrence.

- Love your lens. I believe that ghosts certainly do exist. I encounter them fairly often and even have some residing in my own home.

- You have to hit the physics books if your understanding of physics is so bad. Did you ever read about the 3rd law of thermodynamics? Energy keeps existing but loses coherence (becomes randomly distributed) unless you apply some energy to keep it organized (brain structures operation).
The electrical impulses in the brain do irradiate photons outwards (EM radiation), but since the brain stops working when you die, then there is no more electrical impulses and no more EM radiation being generated. Additionally, electromagnetism radiated by a brain is so tiny that we need exceptionally sensitive equipment very close to the brain to pick it up in a sea of EM noise. And even if it is picked up, there is not much sense we can make from it.
The energy that was radiated from the brain when the person was alive is tiny, and it dissipates at the inverse square of the distance.
Without the brain, how do you propose that consciousness is kept working?
