DO GHOSTS EXIST?
There's no such thing as a ghost. Or is there?
Ghosts exist in popular culture and in ghost stories, but are there really disembodied spirits in cemeteries and haunted houses? There are many groups today that hunt ghosts, searching for evidence of life after death. They may take pictures in hopes of catching an orb, and record EVPs (getting a recording of a ghost's voice).

Yes, ghosts do exist. In order for us to live on this physical plane we need to have a physical body. One theory behind ghosts are that they are mostly people who have died very suddenly and without warning. They simply cannot accept that they no longer have a physical body to occupy and they dwell here. There is a physical plane and then there is a causal plane of which we know very little, like death is the most definite thing that will happen to us all, yet a very select few know about it and are prepared.

by the way, science and ghosts dont contradict each other always. it fits in with quantum theory and if the human body is a four-fold (yes, i study parapsychology too) and the world is made up of at least 7 different planes, then you can even fit in religious aspects if you wish and have it all make perfect sense. If you want to learn about this, especially study the astral plane and the physical plane. You can even come up with explainations for all 3 types of hauntings.

I think they do. I think that when a person gets murdered/killed with great anger or sadness they are forced to stay behind in this kind of 'between both worlds place'. They are forced to linger until they find happiness because if they are to go to heaven they cant be angry or sad now can they? Well, yeah...they linger and show themselves to whom they choose. Although this isnt really a Are Ghosts really real or not or true or not, that is my answer.

I believe Ghosts do exist & have many books on sightings and hauntings. Even had a ghost of an old woman walk up my language school staircase twice after she passed away, but did not see her. Student and I clearly heard the footsteps which stopped just outside the door but when I opened it nobody was there. Hair on my arms stood up & the stairway was chilly! Freaked out the students both times too! Sure it was the old lady next door as she had come over before several times asking for a glass of water & her son had to take her home as she suffered from Alzheimers! She probably just mistook my school for her house & meant no harm! Swims

NO, Decided. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Fuzzy photos, shaky video, anecdotes, orbs, evp do not constitute extraordinary evidence. Personal experience is perception. Perceptions can be wrong. Ghost stories are fun, but are not evidence. Remember, even if there isn't an obvious explanation for an 'experience', that doesn't make your explanation true.

I am in no ways definite that they do not exist but I highly doubt it. People have great imaginations, and have an even better ability to convince themselves that why they imagine in their mind is real. Most people desire experiences like this, or atleast want to justify why they are scared, so they exagerate their experiences. Nothing is more captivating than a good ghost story, but thats all they are, stories. Just like the game telephone but with with yourself, you tell a story once and then the next time you tell it it gets just alittle bit more elaborate.

I don't believe there are ghosts according to the definition that these supernatural disturbances we see, hear or feel are the roaming spirits of the dead. I believe that the spark of life given to each of us that defines us as individuals (our spirit) leaves this place and goes on to another never to return.
