One of the best activities that you can do for yourself is to lie down and sleep. This is the moment when you can just forget the world and just rest. Indeed, sleep is very important to humans. It is one of the basic needs. In fact, if you have been lacking out of sleep, most probably, you will be weakened and get sick.
However, not all of the people have the ability to sleep instantly. They have to do some routine before they can close their eyes and go to sleep. This can be a hassle. Below are some good tips which you may follow:
The wall paint.

Try to make it more plain and simple. Neutral colors like white, grey, and brown will work well. But light green and blue will also give a peaceful ambiance inside the room. Avoid applying too much wallpapers and decorations on the wall as these can be a distraction to your eyes.
The bed.

Choosing the right bed is vital. If your bed does not give you safety and comfort, you'll end up with bad night sleep. The foundation of the bed and mattress must be durable enough to support you. The mattress must be soft so that you will be comfortable on it. If you will sleep with somebody, the bed should have enough space for both of you.
The pillows.

The pillows are also important. You are opted to have lots of them or just limit them. Sometimes when you have lots of pillows, these can serve as interruptions. You can try at least two to three pillows.
The lights.

Any unwanted lights can disturb your sleep. Make sure that the windows have thick draperies so that even if you will sleep at day time, the natural light will not enter in to your room. At night make sure to turn off all the lights.
The noise.

Noise should be eliminated in and out of the room. This can disrupt your sleep. However, a mellow and low music can aid you to have a good night sleep, although it is not really necessary. If the noise comes outside, you should close the windows of your room.
Temperature and ventilation.

Inside the room see to it that you have an electric fan or an air-conditioner is much better. Good ventilation promotes goo sleep. If you are living in a cold place, you can open the windows so that fresh air will come inside. However, your room must not be too warm or too cold.
Remove stress.

Do not put television inside your bedroom. There is a great tendency that you will be watching the television until late at night. This is unhealthy to your eyes and to your whole body. Most especially, if you have computer games, you will be tempted to play with it until you won't notice the time.
As much as possible, do not bring your work in your bed. The study table should not serve as your working area. This may give you stress which may leave you sleepless at night.
