Backup your Data!
Backing up your data is a critical operation these days. If you were to lose your computer today - what would you do?
Do you have a plan in place for what you are going to do if everything on your computer is all of the sudden - GONE?
Whether it is taken from you in a robbery, burned up in a fire, or washed away in a flood, you need to have a plan for recovering your data. Your computer contains details of your life that you may not remember right off the top of your head. Can you ever get that information back? What about your precious family photographs? Can you get them back? Maybe a few - by asking people that you may have sent them to - to send them back to you. Sound like fun? I don't think so!
One way to keep this from taking a huge toll on your life is to perform ONLINE backups. Backing up to an external drive is good, but only covers the situation where your main computer fails, for example, your hard disk drive goes bad. If you leave your drive connected to your computer all the time, any of the disaster scenarios will take them both out. There goes your backup?

And did you know there are companies that offer FREE online backups? You can backup up to 2 gigabytes of information to the Internet for free!!! What are you waiting for?

- People don't realize how important having online backups is until they've lost everything! I know because having it has saved me a couple of times. I would not have it any other way. Good advice in this lens.
