Doc Martens Shoes and Dr Martens Boots

Dr. Martens boots are originally created by Dr. Klaus Martens. Dr. Klaus Martens was a German soldier doctor. He was specialized in diagnosing and treating the diseases and illnesses of the soldiers. At that time, there was the Second World War. He followed the German soldiers to wherever they go so that he can treat their injuries. It happened that he was hiking the mountain one day. As he climbed the mountain, he accidentally sprain his ankle and injured his leg. He blamed the leg's injury on the inefficient construction of the boot. Martens was wearing the same boot as the rest of the German soldiers. He was furious about it and decided to design a boot himself. He took a paper and started to sketch the design of the boot which he wanted to make. On the paper, he drafted out the improvements he would like on his current boot. When Dr. Martens was recuperating from his leg injury, he drafted out the design of the air padded sold. Later, the Second World War ended.

When the Second World War ended, the German soldiers were busy looting the treasures in the towns. Martens saw a piece of leather and made the boot. He spend a lot of time to make the boot and wanted to sold it to a buyer. However, he couldn't find a buyer. After many years, he came to know a doctor who was his old time friend. His friend, Dr. Herbert Funck found out that he has a pair of boots he wanted to sell. He was interested in starting a boot retail shop with Dr Martens shoes when he was asked. Finally, the boot did sold to a customer. From that time onward, Dr. Martens and Funck worked together to make boots and sell them to the people in Germany.

To produce the boots, Dr. Martens and Funck use discarded rubbers obtained from the Luftwaffe airfields to produce the shoes. They use the discarded rubbers to manufacture the shoes because of having little capitals. The shoes are much more comfortable compare to ordinary shoes. The soft sole allows you to walk for a long journey without feeling tired. Your leg won't feel strain if you wear Dr. Martens boot for a long time. The air padded sole is designed to provide a cushion for the foot sole.
