Dont miss this great cultural party!
  • joys100 Oct 27, 2009 @ 4:57 pm | delete
The neat thing about Denver, outside of the fact that it has become quite the cosmopolitan city with great cultural events, is that it is so close to many of Colorado's major ski areas. We like to rent a timeshare (through http://www.redweek.com) at either Copper Mountain or Vail, and take a couple of day "road trips" to Denver. The touring companies of Broadway shows play in Denver, the IMAX theater is great, and my all-time favorite is the Denver Art Museum which rivals any art museum I've ever been to, including Europe.

Denver is my home. I didn't grow up here, but I absolutely love it. The weather, the people, the prices -- everything is ideal. The history is fascinating too. Great lens - I've added you to my lensroll.

I lived in Denver for nine years. I preferred Boulder, Aspen or Vail.

I have lived most of my life in Alabama, but I was lucky enough to live in Denver for three years--2000 thru 2003. I loved living there and not a day passes that I don't miss it.

I loved the theatre. I think the library downtown is just beautiful. The Art Museum is fascinating. (In fact, I just returned from CO and visited the exhibit of Rock Posters while in Denver.) Incredible collection.

I saw John Mellencamp at Red Rocks before I moved back to Bama. Learned to ski. Rode bikes around Chatfield and up Waterton Canyon. Oh, the life was good.

I lived in a state park--Roxborough. Saw lions, no tigers, but lots of bears and mule deer.

Nice work--I know this lens took lots of time to compile.

Wow! Nice lens. I hope you don't mind, but this lens is so good that I couldn't do better...so I'm linking to you from my Colorado lens! My sis lives just outside Denver--and we were *IN THE SNOW* last Christmas there. In a way, a pain in the butt. But in another way?--It was the first "White Christmas" my wife and I had seen in years! You don't see too many "White Christmas" events on Guam! Now we have a lot more great ideas for what to do when we get back to Denver to visit relatives! Thanks for a cool lens. A definite 5* for you!
